FP Reef "Fish Paradise Reef"

A suitable habitat for marine products is formed inside and around the FP Reef, and it functions effectively as a feeding ground, shelter, resting place, hiding place, etc. for various fish.

There are many achievements all over the country, and a wide variety of fish collections have been confirmed in artificial reef effect surveys.

Features of FP Reef

  • Because of the concrete structure, the function as an artificial reef will be maintained for a long period of time.
  • Because it is composed of surface structural members, it has a large stimulating area for fish and a large settlement area for prey organisms and exhibits a high gathering and breeding effect.
  • The diagonal members (cross arms) that intersect at the center generate a complicated vortex around the area, which provides an excellent gathering effect.
  • Since it is a strong block that is integrated with the site by the molding unit leasing method, it is possible to create an effective habitat close to a natural fish reef by installing it in random piles.

・FP Reef with Spear Squid Spawning Panel
Swordtip squid prefer to lay their eggs under rocky ledges that are not exposed to light.By installing shelf panels inside the FP  reef, shaded areas on well-flowing rocky ledges are created. The shaded spaces formed by the panels provide habitats for reef fish that prefer darkness, as well as shelter and nurseries for juvenile fish.

・FP Reef with Thinned Wood

By installing concrete panels with thinned wood inside the FP reef, we enhance the aggregation and proliferation functions for fish.

The shaded space at the bottom of the panels serves as a habitat for fish that prefer dark areas, while the gaps among the upright wood at the top of the panels provide a habitat for fish that thrive in strong reef environments. Additionally, after the thinned wood decays, the perforations formed continue to function as shelters and nurseries.
